A learning disorder is a developmental disorder that is colloquially referred to as a learning disability . With sufficient intelligence, affected children have deficits in writing, reading or arithmetic compared with their peers.

The widespread learning disorders include dyslexia or dyslexia , dyscalculia and dysgraphia or dyspraxia , non-verbal learning disorder or hyperlexia are also attributed to the spectrum of neurologically caused learning disorders.

Special features of school learning:

  • great difficulties in random or incidental learning situations
  • Creating your own learning environment is hardly possible
  • structured and planned access to lessons required
