The readers' newspaper: Alternativmagazin was an alternative Swiss magazine that existed from 1975 to 1979 and introduced a new concept of the magazine reader .

ideology

The readers' newspaper wanted to create a "model" that had "no role models" in Switzerland:

«No wealthy industrialist or association boss risks his money here and gains the opportunity to influence society and politics. You, dear reader, are risking the amount of your subscription ... and thus becoming a co-owner of the LESERZEITUNG. For this you will have the opportunity to direct and design your sheet. "

The members of the LESERZEITUNG association elected "every year the board of directors who, on their behalf and according to their will, develops the concept of the magazine and monitors its implementation".

"You yourself, the reader, are the ones who spoil their opinion soup for the cooks of the information industry , who tear down the dividing fences in the social and political landscape and set off for new goals."
