Letterard

Letterard ( Irish Leitreach Ard ) is a townland (settlement) in Ireland in the west of the Atlantic coast of the Connemara region . The village is located on the R 340 coastal road between Glinsk and Moyrus , about six kilometers from Carna and is divided into Letterard East and Letterard West.

Letterard is characterized on the one hand by its spectacular location on the rugged Atlantic coast and on the other hand by the unspoiled moor areas (bogs) on the inland side.
