Lighthouse project

The term lighthouse project is used to describe an exemplary project which, in addition to its actual purpose, is also intended to send out signals for numerous follow-up projects. In addition to the success, great awareness is therefore also intended. In companies this is often used when changing direction or realignment ( change management ). The use of the term has been proven since around 1980.

Milestones and quantum leaps are used in a similar way .
