The Lexicon of Political Criminal Trials is a freely accessible, dynamically growing, German-language online dictionary , founded by Kurt Groenewold . It is edited by Kurt Groenewold, Alexander Ignor and Arnd Koch.

The task and purpose of the lexicon is to present political criminal processes in their social and historical context in order to disseminate knowledge about the basics of judicial action and to deepen it in the public consciousness.

The encyclopedia gathers political criminal trials from all over the world, including the activities and work of the international courts of justice such as B. the International Criminal Court . The observation period extends from the beginning of the modern era to the present .

Particular emphasis is placed on the presentation of the role and design of the defense as well as on the appreciation of the respective process and its effect.

The contributions have a uniform structure: process history and significance of the process, biographical data, historical classification, indictment, defense and concept of defense, judgment, appraisal, sources and literature.
