Liber Latinus

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Liber Latinus was an Austrian textbook for the Latin language.

The teaching work was written by Emil Gaar , Mauriz Schuster , Richard Meister u.  a. published and was the textbook par excellence until the 1980s. Most recently there was the two-part edition Liber Latinus A for the lower school, which was completed there in 2 years, and the two-part Liber Latinus B , which was used in the upper school due to its compressed form. Liber means book and Latinus means Latin (isch), so the title of the book translated means Latin book or Latin book . Older editions were also available in three or four volumes.

The Liber Latinus was valued for its systematic structure, but the reading pieces no longer met modern standards, which is why this classic textbook was discontinued.
