LibreNMS is free software for monitoring complex IT infrastructures . It was created through a fork of the Observium software.

LibreNMS is programmed in PHP and uses MySQL as a database. It automatically searches a computer network and queries the status and configuration via SNMP . LibreNMS supports a wide range of network hardware from different manufacturers and operating systems e.g. B. Cisco, Linux, FreeBSD, Juniper, Brocade, Foundry, HP.

General

LibreNMS offers a daily update that is imported via git , this is activated by default. An attempt is made to publish a version once a month. On 24. November 2019 version was 1:58 released as feature and bug fix release.

Server installation

Only Linux / Unix is ​​supported as a server. Images for Docker or a preconfigured image of a virtual machine are offered, or installation through a software package (manual).

Interfaces and integration

The interface was implemented as a Restful API , but is still under development. The output takes place via JSON or as a PNG image.

By integrating other products, LibreNMS enables B. Plugins from Nagios to extend the functionality.
