The photo ID for EEA citizens is an official photo ID for citizens of the European Union , Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Iceland and Norway who are permanently in Austria. A registration certificate or certificate of permanent residence in Austria is required for an exhibition. The ID is valid for five years and is the size of a plastic card in credit card format . The appearance largely corresponds to the Austrian identity card, only it is green instead of blue. The issue of the ID costs 56 euros, it serves as proof of identity in Austria.
