Lichtenfels was a dance project consisting of the producers Markus Binapfl, Gerd Lehmkuhl, Patrick Buck and first the DJ Vincent Witthöft and later Benjamin Reichert.

Lichtenfels became known in 2003 through the hit Sounds Like A Melody produced by Big World Entertainment , an adaptation of the hit by the German pop band Alphaville from 1984. The later member Benjamin Reichert was not involved in this hit, he only joined the band later .
