Song path
The Großer Liederweg is a hiking trail in Saxony and almost completely circles the most beautiful district of Pulsnitz -Oberlichtenau. Along its 11 km length, the hiker encounters 37 folk songs that deal with parting, longing for the distance and homesickness. Here beautiful women and the love of home are celebrated as well as the desire for freedom.
The hike also includes a detour to Germany's first Bible Garden , where elements of the Bible have been reproduced - an open-air museum with the atmosphere of Biblical Israel. The Liederweg is sponsored by the Oberlichtenau municipal administration. You can also hike the path over the local mountain Oberlichtenau, the Keulenberg , and enjoy a wonderful view of the ridges of the West Lusatian mountains including the Kamenzer Hutberg and the Lusatian mountains . The total length of the route from the Pulsnitz train station along the blue trail is approx. 22 km.
