Lielupe (Jūrmala)
Lielupe is a part of the city of Jūrmala , about 19 km from the Latvian capital Riga , between Buļļuciems (in the east), Bulduri (in the west), the Gulf of Riga (in the north) and the Lielupe River (in the south).
history
This place was formerly called Buļļu and belonged to the Buļļu manor. The manor was created when Janis Bulis leased the land. Later in the 20th century this area was called Lielupe. In 1913 the Lielupe station building was built. The station is in operation.
