Light + Building
The Light + Building (Logo light + building ) is a German trade fair for light and building technology. It is organized by Messe Frankfurt and takes place every two years.
At Light + Building, the industry is presenting products for lighting, electrical engineering and home and building automation. The most important visitor groups include architects, interior designers, designers, planners and engineers as well as craftsmen, trade and industry.
At Light + Building 2018, 2,719 companies from 55 countries exhibited at the Frankfurt exhibition center. Most of the exhibitors with a number of almost 1900 were from abroad. Most recently, the number of visitors was over 220,000, almost half of them from Germany and the other part from abroad. The top ten visitor countries included China, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Great Britain, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria, Spain and Sweden.
Light + Building takes place regularly in spring. The year 2020 is an exception: due to the increasing spread of the corona virus and the increasing number of cancellations by exhibitors, a postponement to mid-September 2020 has been announced.

Supporting program
The supporting program consists of various special shows, forums and award ceremonies. In addition, the Luminale , the biennale of lighting culture, is taking place in Frankfurt am Main at the same time as Light + Building .

Light + Building shows solutions that reduce the energy consumption of a building and at the same time increase living comfort, from photovoltaics and LED lights to the intelligent use of electricity.
