League feudal system

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The ligic feudal system appeared mainly in France and in the west and north-west of the Holy Roman Empire and is characterized by the stronger bond between the feudal lord and the feudal lord . It represented an attempt to prevent the multiple vassalism that was prevalent at the time and to make the feudal man a safe ally again in the event of a conflict.

Another important aspect of the religious feudal system is the open house , into which the feudal lord could move in in the event of a conflict. The feudal lord was obliged to always keep the open house in a defensible condition so that it could offer the feudal lord reliable protection. The religious feudal system and the Offenhaus are closely intertwined in this way, so that the roots of the opening law were sought for a long time in the religious feudal system.
