Lilli Berlin
Lilli Berlin was a band of the Neue Deutsche Welle from 1980 to 1983.
In 1980 the actress Uschi Lina founded the band together with Jürgen Barz ; Lina then called herself Lilli Berlin. In addition to Lilli Berlin (vocals), Manfred Opitz (keyboard, previously with “Metropolis”) and Harald Grosskopf (drums) were members of the band. The texts came from Lilli's later husband Jürgen Barz. Frank Lüdecke (saxophone), Gerry Bowen (trumpet) and Jürgen Scheele (trumpet) took part in some productions (from 1982) . The single True Love was a duet with Jürgen Zeltinger . Today Lilli Berlin is a fashion designer.
