Lily (band)

Lily was a German rock band of the 1970s , which is assigned to the Krautrock . In terms of style, they played a gruff and unconventional version of jazz rock .

They began as monsoons in Frankfurt am Main at the end of 1969, but when they signed a contract with Bellaphon, they changed their name to Lily at their request in 1973 and adorned themselves with glittering items. Her only LP was released in 1973 (Bacillus BLPS 19144), recorded in Dieter Dierks' Dierks studio , in an edition of 1000 and is characterized by Steinberg's saxophone playing . For the CD re-release in collaboration with the Garden of Delights label , four long unreleased pieces were added that had been recorded in a recording studio in Detmold in 1971 without Klaus Lehmann. E The band played with a different line-up until 1976.
