List of Governors of Yamanashi
This list of the governors of Yamanashi ( Japanese 山 梨 県 知事 , Yamanashi-kenchiji ) includes all governors since the establishment of the prefecture, including the direct precursors (Kai / Kōfu) in the Meiji Restoration. Like the governors of all prefectures, the governor of Yamanashi has been elected by the people for four-year terms since the abolition of the Interior Ministry and the introduction of the Self-Government Act in 1947.
