Goldschmidt Bernhard.jpg Bernhard Goldschmitt (the "black Jew" because of the dark color of his house) and his wife Sara lived in Schulstrasse on the corner where the wine fountain is today. Both fled to Breidenbacherstrasse in Mainz on the night of November 10, 1938. She was accompanied by Sophie Berney (the "Sofie"), who ran a shop on Römerstrasse and whose house was also devastated on November 9th. On September 27, 1942, the residents of Breidenbacherstrasse were deported to Theresienstadt.

Goldschmitt Hildegard.jpg Nathan Goldschmitt (the "Natche") and his wife Mathilde lived in Ebersheim for a long time to rent in the corner house Töngesstrasse / Neugasse. They later moved to Konrad-Adenauer-Strasse. The sons Lothar and Fritz emigrated to the USA. The daughter Hildegard had to stay in Ebersheim because she was too young to emigrate. After the "Reichspogromnacht" the family lived in Weisenau on Rheinstrasse. She was deported to Theresienstadt in 1942.

Goldschmitt Lazarus.jpg Lazarus Goldschmitt (the "Lazer") from Dalbergstrasse lived on Seilerstrasse in Mainz until his death in 1940. Rosel Goldschmitt (the "Rosel"), who had lived in Neugasse, was also quartered there. Rosel Goldschmitt was deported to Theresienstadt in 1942 and pronounced dead on March 31, 1944.

Nelly Goldschmitt lived on Schusterstrasse in Mainz until she was deported to Theresienstadt. Leopold Goldschmitt last lived in Gonsenheimer Strasse before he was also deported to Theresienstadt in 1942.
