Lithuanian Science Award

The Lithuanian Science Prize (lit. Lietuvos mokslo premija ) is one of the most important science awards in Lithuania . The Lithuanian Science Awards are awarded annually for fundamental and applied research and experimental (social, cultural) development work that is important for Lithuania. No more than 7 Lithuanian Scientific Prizes are awarded each year: 2 prizes in human and social sciences, 2 prizes in physical sciences, 2 prizes in biomedical and agricultural sciences, 1 prize in technological sciences. Prizes can be offered if the works that are important to the history, culture and economy of Lithuania have been published abroad .

The amount is almost 30,000 euros.

Foundation and award

The prizes were donated by the government of Lithuania , they are coordinated by the Lietuvos mokslų akademija and awarded based on the decisions of a commission.
