The station literature television was the first literature television station in the German cable network. Every quarter of an hour he produced reports and information on literary topics and interviews with authors. These were supplemented by book tips and book reviews.

The station could be received nationwide in Baden-Württemberg free of charge as a digital channel in the Kabel BW network. A digital receiver, the so-called cable box, was required for reception. It was licensed by the LfK Baden-Württemberg in January 2006 as one of 8 TV stations that Klarner Medien GmbH produces as part of its digital TV program.
