history

Klarner Medien GmbH developed from the smallest beginnings with the regional television RTF.1, which was initially launched as a media service, to one of the largest TV media companies in Baden-Württemberg . The nucleus of the development was in 1987 the event of the first private youth radio in the Federal Republic of Germany, Studio live 104.8 by the students at the time Stefan Klarner and Marcus Frank. After the end of the first private licensing period in Baden-Württemberg, the radio license for Studio live youth radio was no longer renewed by the State Office for Communication (LfK). For Stefan Klarner, this was the impetus to enter the TV sector by founding Klarner Medien GmbH. In November 1999, RTF.1 started regional television. In 2003 and 2004 Klarner Medien was the first media company in Baden-Württemberg to go on the air with several special-interest TV programs: Prometheus science TV, studio live young TV and landscape TV. In 2006, literary television, Culinaria, RIK Reutlingen and BWeins, the first private parliamentary television in the Federal Republic of Germany, followed. In 2009 two more channels, GesundTV BW and KulturBW TV, were taken over by another operator.
