Hole reinforcement ring

If perforated and filed sheets are often removed from the folder or if the pages are turned over, the perforations can fray or tear as a result of mechanical stress. Such damage can usually be repaired with hole reinforcement rings , or hole reinforcements for short.

The self-adhesive rings made of plastic film fix the damaged paper in the desired position and reinforce it against further damage. Hole reinforcements can also be attached as a precaution so as not to let it tear out in the first place. They are also used in the craft sector for this purpose . The foil is usually white or transparent. In the past, a kind of kraft paper was used. The hole reinforcement rings are supplied in sheets or in a dispenser box.

Since the sheets reinforced in this way become slightly thicker, fewer sheets than before can possibly be filed in a folder.
