Locride

Locride is an area in Italy around the town of Locri in the Calabria region . The term originates from the ancient Central Greek region of Lokris , as the Lokrians in Calabria founded the city of Locri as a colony of Lokroi Epizephyrioi in Magna Graecia .

The area is divided into five sub-areas:

• Vallata dello Stilaro
• Vallata del Torbido
• Epizefiri
• Vallata del Bonamico
• Heracleum (area)
