London Lite was a free daily newspaper published by Associated Newspapers - part of the Daily Mail and General Trust - and distributed free of charge in the City of London . It was published Monday through Friday. The last issue was published on November 13, 2009.

The newspaper was created in 2004 as a free version of the Evening Standard with less content and was then still called "Standard Lite". This had 48 pages, whereas the main newspaper had 80. In August 2006, however, the title was changed to "London Lite" and the number of pages was reduced.

The main target audience for London Lite was young women. In terms of content, the topics of gossip and “ lifestylepredominated , while news from politics and business took up less space than in the main publication, the Evening Standard .

As the newspaper was in most cases immediately disposed of by its readers after reading it, it was criticized from an environmental point of view that it was a waste of resources to print something with such a short “lifetime”. In addition, the newspapers were mostly simply left lying around and not properly disposed of.
