Loop cable

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A loop cable (engl. Loop cable ) is a cable, with which one of two graphics cards can connect to each other or other components.

In the past, such a cable was needed to connect a pure 3D accelerator card (e.g. Voodoo 2 ) to a 2D card. Today it is needed in a modified form to connect two graphics cards via Crossfire . The cooperation of both graphics cards can increase the performance of the system.
