Viscount of Garnock

Viscount of Garnock is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of Scotland .

Award

On April 10, 1703, John Lindsay-Crawford was bestowed the title Viscount of Mount Crawford and the subordinate title Lord Kilbirny, Kingsburn and Drumry . On November 26, 1703 these titles were changed to Viscount of Garnock and Lord Kilbirny and Drumry .

The 4th Viscount also inherited the titles Earl of Lindsay and Earl of Crawford in 1749 . The Earldom of Crawford fell to another line of the family in 1808, with the Earldom of Lindsay the Viscountcy is still connected as a subordinate title. All titles mentioned belong to the Peerage of Scotland. The earl of Lindsay's eldest son has been using the courtesy title Viscount Garnock as the likely title holder ( Heir Apparent ) .

Heir Apparent is the son of the current title holder, William Lindesay-Bethune, Viscount Garnock (* 1990).
