Lorraine Railway Corporation

The Lothringische Eisenbahn AG operated electrical branch and small railways in the former state of Lorraine.

When the Eisenbahn-Bau- und Betriebsgesellschaft Vering & Waechter GmbH & Co. KG received the order at the beginning of the 20th century to build a network of small electric railways in the Fentschtal around the industrial city of Diedenhofen ( Thionville ), they founded it together with the Berliner Eisenbahnbau-Gesellschaft Becker & Co. GmbH founded the Lothringische Eisenbahn-AG on November 3, 1910, with its headquarters in Diedenhofen.

This opened

After the end of the First World War, the company was placed under administrative administration by the French state on February 1, 1919. Since the railways in the former Lorraine district were permanently lost, the company decided to liquidate them ten years later.
