Lu Ji (scholar)

Lu Ji ( Chinese  陸 璣  /  陆 玑 , Pinyin Lù Jī , W.-G. Lu Chi ) was a Chinese scholar from the time of the Wu Dynasty of the Three Kingdoms . Little is known about his life.

Lu is the author of Maoshi caomu niaoshou chongyu shu ( Chinese  毛詩 草木 鳥獸 蟲魚 疏  /  毛诗 草木 鸟兽 虫鱼 疏 ), a commentary on botanical and zoological terms in the Book of Songs in Mao's version ( Maoshi 毛诗 ), which is contained, for example, in the Chinese collective work ( congshu ) Gu jingjie huihan by Zhong Qianjun (1805–1874) from the time of the Qing dynasty .
