Lucien Gagnier
Lucien Gagnier (born December 26, 1900 in Montreal , † October 26, 1956 there ) was a Canadian flautist.
Gagnier had lessons in music theory from his father Joseph Gagnier and studied the flute with Pascal Deremouchamps , later with Francis Boucher . At the age of fifteen he made his debut with the orchestra of His Majesty's Theater . He was a flautist with various orchestras, from 1934 to 1956 with the Montreal Orchestra . From 1942 to 1949 he was a member of the Gagnier Windwood Quintet .
He has appeared in numerous CBC radio and television concerts and has accompanied the singers Jean Dickenson , Lily Pons and Erna Sack .
