Lucius Pedanius Secundus
Lucius Pedanius Secundus († 61 in Rome) was a Roman politician in the 1st century AD.
Under Emperor Claudius in 43 he held the suffect consulate from March to July . In 56 he was appointed Praefectus urbi . Nothing else is known about his tenure, only that he was murdered by one of his slaves in 61. The Senate , in particular Gaius Cassius Longinus , then demanded the execution of all 400 slaves of Pedanius under Roman law. Although the people demanded the release of the innocent, Emperor Nero finally bowed to the will of the Senate.
