Luisen sympathy sounds

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Luisen Sympathie Klänge is a waltz by Johann Strauss Sohn (op. 81). The work was performed for the first time on July 16, 1850 in the Volksgarten (Vienna).

Remarks

The waltz was composed among other works on the occasion of a concert in Vienna's Volksgarten. The naming can no longer be traced. The structure of this waltz goes beyond Strauss' usual forms and shows the way to the concert waltz, i.e. away from the pure dance waltz. A special feature and unique for the composer is the instrumentation of four trumpets.

The playing time on the CD listed under individual records is 9 minutes and 24 seconds. Depending on the musical conception of the conductor, this time can change by up to a minute plus or minus.
