Luiz Amorim

Luiz Carlos Tavares Ferrao Amorim (born July 29, 1977 ) is a Brazilian road cyclist.

Luiz Amorim was the 2003 Brazilian time trial champion and he won a stage at the Volta Ciclística Internacional de Santa Catarina . The next year he was successful in a section of the Volta do Estado de São Paulo and he was able to defend his national championship title. He also won a stage at the Torneio de Verao and was able to win the overall standings. In 2007 Amorim drove for the Brazilian Continental Team Scott-Marcondes Cesar-São José dos Campos , where he won a stage and the overall standings at the Volta Inconfidencia Mineira. In the 2008 season he was successful in a section of the Giro do Interior São Paulo and the Volta do Estado de São Paulo. At the Pan American Championship, Tavares won the bronze medal in the individual time trial.
