Lucanian gap

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As Luke's gap from the text of be Mark's Gospel refers to Luke in his Gospel does not assume ( Mk 6,45  EU - 8.26 EU ).

Since , according to the two-source theory , Luke had the Gospel of Mark as a template, an attempt is now made to explain this gap. Since Luke was not Jewish and wrote the Gospel for Gentile Christians , it can be assumed that he deliberately omitted Jesus' arguments about questions of the Jewish religion contained in the Mark passages, as they were no longer relevant for Gentile Christians. In addition, Luke avoids duplication (e.g. of the food miracle) through deletions.
