Lukas Duwenhögger (* 1956 in Munich ) is a German artist.

Life

Lukas Duwenhögger studied at the art academies in Munich and Düsseldorf. He has lived in Istanbul since 2000 .

Paintings and installations by Duwenhögger were shown at documenta 12 . “ His works form lush allegorical tableaus of homosexual life in which a world pervaded by memories and desires is conveyed. His works often depict complex intimate interrelationships and represent the matrix of cultural and aesthetic codes charged with literary and art-historical references. ”(Quoted in Documenta catalog 2007: 335)
