Lurgi house

The Lurgihaus is an office building in Frankfurt-Heddernheim . It was built in 1987 as the first new building in the Mertonviertel on the former site of the United Deutsche Metallwerke and, with an office area of 87,000 square meters, is one of the largest office buildings in Germany. Seven heavily structured outbuildings branch off from a square central building. Originally, the complex served as the headquarters of Lurgi AG in order to bring together the locations spread across the Frankfurt metropolitan area. After the company was streamlined, more tenants were added to the building, including the German Finance Agency . In 2014 Lurgi left the building.

The British fund Puma Brandenburg Limited, which acquired the building from Deka Immobilien Investment GmbH in January 2007 for EUR 199 million, was the interim owner . The building is rented to MG Vermögensverwaltungs GmbH (mgvv) as the general tenant. On December 12, 2017, the real estate company Aroundtown SA acquired the Lurgihaus by foreclosure auction for 90 million euros.
