The company was founded in 2004 by Yakir Gabay and was located in Larnaka ( Republic of Cyprus ) as Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC until September 2017 .

The company has been listed on the stock exchange since June 2015 and in the Frankfurt Prime Standard since June 2017 . Aroundtown was included in the SDAX of Deutsche Börse in September 2017 and in the MDAX in March 2018 .

In 2019, Aroundtown became the main sponsor of the German soccer club 1. FC Union Berlin .

In November 2019 Aroundtown announced that it wanted to merge with TLG Immobilien . Aroundtown reported a successful takeover at the end of January 2020 and is currently the largest provider of office properties in Europe. After the merger, the company will hold real estate worth 25 billion euros.

Aroundtown does not publish a list of holdings. The Q1 / 2017 annual report names buildings valued at EUR 3.8 billion as direct ownership as well as the shares in Grand City Properties , which owns properties valued at EUR 5 billion. A selection of objects:
