Grand City Properties SA is a major residential real estate company in Europe with 85,000 apartments. It invests in real estate with optimization potential in the largest cities and metropolises in Germany .

Grand City Properties generates an annual net rent of 360 million euros and pays annual dividends of around 130 million euros. In June 2018, the company's balance sheet value was almost EUR 9 billion, equity was EUR 4.3 billion and the inflow of funds from operating activities (FFO1) projected over the year to EUR 200 million. The net profit amounted to 640 million euros in 2017 and 270 million euros in the first half of 2018. The majority of the portfolio is located in the inner-city district of Berlin , Cologne , Dortmund , Hamburg , Bremen , Dresden , Leipzig and other metropolitan regions. In 2018, the company began acquiring newly built rental apartments in London - so far that is around 1,000 apartments.

Share and shareholders

The shares of the company Grand City Properties SA were listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in mid-2012 at a price of EUR 2.7 per share with a market value of EUR 150 million. The company has been listed in the Frankfurt Prime Standard since mid-2017 and is included in the MDAX (as of September 2018) at a price of EUR 24 and a market capitalization of EUR 4 billion.

The largest single shareholder with 38% is Aroundtown SA (through its subsidiary Edolaxia Group ), which is 35% owned by Grand City founder Yakir Gabay . The remaining shares are in free float .

Grand City Properties SA's business was founded in 2004 by Yakir Gabay. The first apartment purchases began in the center of Berlin . Around a quarter of Grand City Properties' residential portfolio is located in the German capital, especially in districts like Mitte and Charlottenburg .
