Lutai

Lutai ( Chinese  蘆台 镇 , Pinyin Lútái Zhèn  - "reed terrace ") is a large community and the administrative seat of Ninghe County in northeast Tianjin , China . In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, it was an end point of the Lutai Canal and the first extension of the Kaiping Tramway.

Today, the city is approximately 85 km from downtown Tianjin and 180 km from downtown Beijing by road. In 2011 there were 28 residential areas ( 社区 ) and 37 villages in this administrative unit.
