Lucidity
The term lucidity (from the Latin for “clarity”) denotes the clarity of consciousness in medicine. It is closely related to the level of alertness .
The orientation to the person ("autopsychic": name, age), location (e.g. hospital, city), situation (being ill, therefore being examined ...) and time (lost most quickly in the case of disorders of the brain function) are tested ). Other neuropsychological functions such as perception , attention , sense of time, memory , etc. are to be understood as sub-functions or prerequisites for orientation.
A disturbance of consciousness can be interrupted by lucid moments .
As a lucid dream (or lucid dream ) is called a dream, during which the sleeper is aware of his dream state.
