MJM Phatty

MJM "Babung" Phatty is a politician in the West African state of Gambia .

In the parliamentary elections in 1992 Phatty stood as a candidate for the Gambian People's Party (GPP) in the constituency of Upper Fulladu West for election. He won the constituency ahead of Kebba K. Jawara (PPP) and Mawdo Suso (NCP). He became the constituency representative in parliament. In the following general election in 1997 Phatty did not run.

MJM Phatty was one of the few Gambian People's Party politicians to win a seat in the House of Representatives. After the 1994 coup, Phatty was no longer politically active.
