Motoman is a registered trademark of Yaskawa Electric Corporation for industrial robots.

history

The Motoman brand was first offered on the European market in 1969. From 1984 robotec GmbH was responsible for sales in Germany. In 1994 the company was taken over by the Yaskawa Electric Corporation and was named Motoman robotec GmbH.

Motoman robotec GmbH became Yaskawa Europe GmbH in June 2010 with Yaskawa Electric Europe GmbH, which is also part of the Yaskawa Group and is based in Eschborn near Frankfurt. The areas “Drives & Motion” and “Robotics” were created.

The Motoman brand is sold worldwide with regional headquarters in Europe, America and Asia. There are more than 60 branches in total, including 21 in Europe.

The Motoman brand product lines include industrial robots for the areas of assembly, handling, packaging, palletizing, painting, joining, gluing, welding and positioning.

The largest manufacturers of industrial robots are distinguished by a certain color. The characteristic blue color of the Motoman robots used throughout the Group is an example of a color brand .
