MUBI (formerly The Auteurs) is a subscription-based streaming service .

history

MUBI was founded by Efe Çakarel in 2007. The streaming platform specializes in film art and classics. MUBI does not see itself as a competitor to the cinema, unlike Netflix , which opposes the conventional theatrical exploitation of its films.

Short and niche films can be found on mubi.com. These can be borrowed individually or virtually as a 30-day subscription. The offer is supplemented by a social network function for rating and discussing films.
