Madam and Eve

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Madam and Eve is South Africa's most successful comic strip , written by Stephen Francis and drawn by Rico.

Every day four million people read in 13 newspapers and magazines about the life of a white upper middle class woman and her black domestic servants , about the supposed continued existence of white supremacy and the attempt by equal and “previously disadvantaged” blacks to redefine themselves amid economic dependencies. Current daily events are continuously caricatured and foreigners are introduced to everyday life in South Africa.
