Magnus Ottomar Kölz († January 26, 1864 in Chemnitz ) was a German lawyer and politician.

Live and act

After completing a law degree , Kölz settled in Chemnitz as a lawyer . He was a member of the city council of the west Saxon city on various occasions: 1839/40, 1845 to 1847, 1852 to 1857. Until 1855 he was even chairman of the city council. He was a member of the second chamber of the Saxon state parliament from 1845 to 1851 as deputy member of the city of Chemnitz and was then elected as a regular member, which office he held until his death.

He was also an unpaid city councilor from 1857 to 1862. He belonged to a number of stock corporations and was elected to the board of the Theater-Aktiengesellschaft , the Erzgebirgische Eisenbahngesellschaft , the share lager brewery in Schloßchemnitz and the Chemnitz-Würschnitzer Eisenbahn-Aktiengesellschaft , among others .
