Mahmoud Raslan

Mahmoud Raslan is a Syrian who publishes pictures and video recordings from the civil war in Syria .

Life

Raslan works for the Aleppo Media Center , a group of volunteers that has been delivering news to the international media from neighborhoods of the city of Aleppo held by opposition groups since 2011 . His video recordings and a resulting image of the Syrian boy Omran Daqneesh in Aleppo, who was injured in air raids in August 2016, became known worldwide.

In 2016, Raslan posted a picture showing him with fighters from the Syrian Islamist group Harakat Nour al-Din al-Zenki . Members of this group had beheaded the 12-year-old boy Abdullah Issa a few weeks earlier.
