Reminder (Switzerland)

A reminder , as a reminder referred is that a clear and specific request of the creditor to the debtor who owed power to provide.

If a liability is due, the debtor is set in default by a reminder from the obligee. If a certain expiry date has been agreed upon for the fulfillment, or if such a date arises as a result of a reserved and properly executed termination, the debtor is in default at the end of this day (Art. 102 OR).

The order for payment in debt collection and bankruptcy law is to be regarded as a reminder from a substantive point of view.

A reminder is not necessary for the initiation of debt enforcement .
