Maintenance Operations Protocol

The Maintenance Operations Protocol (MOP) is a protocol of the DECnet protocol family introduced in 1975 by Digital Equipment Corporation .

It is located in the third lowest layer, the network layer , and is used to manage computer networks , which mainly contain company computers. Simple functions allow the system to be started or a console to be made available over the network.
