Makindye Ssabagabo even Ssabagabo is a city in the Central Region in Uganda . It is located in the Wakiso district and is one of the parishes in the district. Makindye Ssabagabo has had the status of a municipality since 2015. Before its current status, the city was a subcounty of the Wakiso district. In general, the city is already built up and consists mainly of middle and upper class districts. Thanks to its location within the Kampala agglomeration, its population is growing rapidly.
location
The city is located in the Wakiso district, immediately south of the Makindye division of Kampala. The old Kampala-Entebbe road runs through the eastern part of the city in a general north-south direction. The Munyonyo lane of the new Entebbe-Kampala expressway runs through the southern part of the new city in a general direction from west to east.

In 2014 a census put the population at 283,272.
