Mamdouh Elssbiay

Mamdouh Elssbiay (born September 16, 1984 in Baltim, Kafr El Sheikh, Egypt ) is an Egyptian professional bodybuilder .

Career

Elssbiay won his IFBB Pro card as the overall winner at the Amateur Olympics 2012 in Kuwait City . He had started bodybuilding just three years earlier. In 2013 he made his professional debut at the New York Pro Championship, which he also won. In 2013 he also took part in the Mr. Olympia competition for the first time , where he came in eighth. It was seventh in the 2014 edition, fifth in 2015 and fourth in 2016. In 2017 he was able to record his greatest success so far with 2nd place at the Mr. Olympia.

Elssbiay is also known as Big Ramy. At the 2015 Mr. Olympia, he broke the record as the heaviest bodybuilder ever to compete in the Mr. Olympia. His weight was 143 kg, with a height of 1.78 m. Since 2010 he has lived and trained in Kuwait.
