Manchete Esportiva (Eng .: sports headline ) was a sports magazine in Brazil from November 1955 to May 1959 and a sports program on television from 1983 to 1999.

The magazine was published weekly from November 1955 to May 1959 by Bloch Editores in Rio de Janeiro . The illustrated magazine dealt primarily with the city's football and was usually around 60 pages long and measured around 26 cm x 35 cm. The magazine's outstanding authors included Nélson Rodrigues , who wrote a football history article for each issue, and Mário Filho .

The editor, Bloch Editores, founded the television channel Rede Manchete in 1983 and at the same time revived the name Manchete Esportiva as a 30-minute sports program. The program ran until the station went bankrupt in 1999. A presenter of the program was, among others, Washington Rodrigues , who at the end of 1995 was appointed at short notice as a journalist and relatively unsuccessfully, as coach of the first division club Flamengo Rio de Janeiro . In 1998 he also became the club's football director.
