client
Client is a term borrowed from Latin. It is based on the combination of the two terms manus (hand) and dare (to give), i.e. to give in the hand . It stands for:
- Client of a lawyer or tax advisor, see mandate (law)
- a technical facility in a software system, see multi-client capability
